Give a brief overview of the following:

1. Aneurisym

Weak spots that dilate are known as Aneurisyms. When a weakened artery bursts, rapid internal bleeding occurs which can damage surrounding tissue. Such a rupture in the brain can result in a severe stroke. If a major artery ruptures, death from shock can occur.

2. Arrythmia

When a malfunction of the heart's electrical system results in abnormally slow or fast beats and other abnormal heart rhythms.

3. Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)

Is a condition of excessive fluid buildup in the lungs and other organs due to inadequate pumping of the heart or failure of the lungs to function properly.


Causes of CHF:

Diseased heart valves
Hypertension
Obstructive Pulmonary Disease


Symptoms of CHF:

Tachycardia
Shortness of Breath
Elevated Blood Pressure
Cyanosia
Profuse Sweating
Cool and Clammy Skin
Pulmonary Edema
Pedal Edema
Frothy white or pink sputum in the cough


Late Signs of CHF:

Engorged pulsating neck veins
Enlarged liver and spleen
Abdominal Distention
